How Often to Water Aloe Vera Plant?

I recently bought an aloe and I’m unsure how often to water aloe vera plant without damaging it. Since it’s a succulent, I don’t want to overwater. What’s the best watering schedule for indoor aloe vera plants?

Aloe vera plants don’t need frequent watering because they store water in their thick leaves. In general, you should water an aloe vera plant about every 2–3 weeks, but only when the soil is completely dry. During winter, watering can be reduced to once every 3–4 weeks since the plant grows more slowly.

Always check the soil before watering—if it still feels moist, wait a few more days. Overwatering is the most common mistake and can cause root rot. Use well-draining soil and a pot with drainage holes to keep your aloe healthy.
