I want to preserve some flowers from special occasions and was wondering what is the best way to dry flowers at home. There seem to be multiple methods like air drying, pressing, or using silica gel. Which method works best for maintaining color and shape?
Honestly silica gel is the winner if you want to keep the shape and color really well, but if you're not in a rush, hanging them upside down in a dry dark spot works great too and costs nothing.
If you want to keep the color and shape well, silica gel is honestly the best method, it's a bit more work than air drying but the results are so much nicer, especially for flowers from special occasions that you actually want to display.
