What is the best way to care for an Artichoke plant in the garden?

I recently started growing an Artichoke plant and want to make sure it grows well. What type of soil and sunlight does an Artichoke plant need? I’m also curious about watering and fertilizing an Artichoke plant. Any advice from experienced gardeners would be helpful.

"To care for an artichoke plant in the garden, ensure it receives full sun and well-draining soil. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in spring and summer. Prune the plant to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Protect from frost to ensure a successful harvest."

I've had good luck with my artichoke plant by watering it thoroughly once a week during the summer months when it's actively growing, and reducing watering to once every 10-14 days during the winter months when it's dormant. I also make sure to fertilize my plant with a balanced fertilizer in the spring and mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds, which seems to be doing the trick for me.

Provide full sun, well-draining soil, and regular water. Fertilize in spring, mulch to retain moisture, and protect the plant from frost.
