I’m looking for simple advice on monstera plant care since I just got one for my home. How often should I water it, and what kind of light is best for proper monstera plant care? Any beginner-friendly tips to improve monstera plant care and keep the leaves healthy would really help.

Monstera plant care is pretty simple for beginners: water it only when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry (usually every 1–2 weeks), and keep it in bright, indirect light since direct sun can burn the leaves but low light slows growth; make sure the pot has drainage, wipe the leaves occasionally to remove dust, and avoid overwatering, as that’s the most common mistake in monstera plant care and can cause root rot or yellow leaves.

Monstera plant care involves providing bright, indirect light, watering when the top inch of soil is dry, and maintaining high humidity. Use well-draining soil and a pot with drainage holes. Fertilize monthly during the growing season, prune yellow leaves, and support climbing stems with a moss pole for healthy growth.

Basic care for a Monstera deliciosa is simple and beginner-friendly. It grows best in bright, indirect sunlight, since direct sun can burn its leaves. Water the plant when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry, but avoid overwatering. Use well-draining soil and a pot with drainage holes. Monsteras also prefer warm temperatures and moderate humidity. Wipe the leaves occasionally to remove dust and help the plant photosynthesize well.
