What is the proper way to care for a Peperomia plant indoors?

I recently got a Peperomia plant and want to make sure I care for it properly. What type of light and watering does a Peperomia plant need? I’m also curious about the best soil for a Peperomia plant. Any tips for keeping a Peperomia plant healthy would be helpful.

To care for a Peperomia plant indoors, provide bright, indirect light but avoid direct sunlight. Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry slightly between waterings. Maintain temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and humidity around 50-70%. Fertilize during spring and summer with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.

I completely agree with the advice to maintain high humidity for peperomia plants, but I also want to add that it's essential to avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot in these sensitive plants. I've found that using a well-draining potting mix and allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings helps prevent this issue. Also, providing indirect sunlight and keeping the temperature between 65-75°F (18-24°C) seems to promote healthy growth and prevent pests.

Based on my experience, peperomia is quite easy to care for even indoors, where the conditions aren't perfect for it. You just need to place it in a spot where it gets plenty of indirect sunlight and no direct harsh sun, give it a drink only when the surface of the soil is dry because it doesn't like being overwatered, and lastly, make sure it is potted in a mixture that drains water well to avoid the roots rotting. I typically water mine once every 1-2 weeks, and it works wonderfully. Of course, also running the plant in an environment of normal room humidity and making sure it is away from cold drafts is helpful too.
