I want a vibrant yellow garden come springtime, but I know these bulbs require a specific period of cold dormancy. I'm worried about planting them too early while the ground is still warm or too late when the frost has already hardened the soil. Could someone clarify when to plant daffodil bulbs in temperate zones to ensure they have enough time to establish roots before winter?
