I’m trying to attract more hummingbirds to my garden. What flowers do hummingbirds like the most? I’d appreciate suggestions for colorful, nectar-rich plants that work well in home gardens.

Hummingbirds actually prefer tubular, brightly colored blooms (especially red and orange). Their long beaks are designed for deep flowers like Trumpet Creeper, Bee Balm, Salvia, and Columbine. These nectar-rich plants provide the high-energy fuel hummingbirds need to stay active in your garden.

Hummingbirds love bright, tubular flowers rich in nectar. Favorites include Trumpet vine, Bee balm, Salvia, Petunia, and Fuchsia. Red, pink, and orange blooms attract them most. Planting a mix of these ensures continuous nectar supply, helping support hummingbirds’ high energy needs while adding vibrant color and life to your garden.
