Which flowers attract hummingbirds to your garden?

I’ve recently set up a small sanctuary in my backyard and I’m dying to see more local wildlife. I know they are drawn to bright, tubular shapes, but I want to plant a variety that blooms at different times throughout the summer. Beyond the standard bee balm, what flowers attract hummingbirds the most effectively while being relatively low-maintenance for a beginner gardener?

The hummingbird is attracted to colorful, tubular flowers that contain nectar. It prefers flowers that are red, orange, and pink. Among those are bee balm, cardinal flower, trumpet vine, salvia, columbine, and fuchsia. The planting of a wide range of nectar flowers will ensure that the hummingbird remains in the garden all year round.

"Hi there, hummingbirds are such a delight to have in the garden. I've found that tubular flowers like trumpet vine, honeysuckle, and salvias are absolute hummingbird magnets. They adore the rich nectar flow, and the flowers are so easy to grow. Coral bells and bee balm are also popular choices. Give 'em a try and see what works best for your garden!"
