I would like to know the proper way to plant onions. Also, how much time do onions usually take to grow and be ready for harvest?

Plant onions from seeds, sets, or transplants in loose, well-drained soil with full sun. Space them 4–6 inches apart. Keep soil moist and weed-free. Onions take about 90–120 days to grow, depending on the variety and growing conditions.

So you want to plant onions, I've done it a few times and it's pretty straightforward. First, you'll want to choose a spot with well-draining soil and full sun, then plant the onion sets about an inch deep and 4-6 inches apart. Make sure the soil is fertile and keep it consistently moist. As for the growth time, it usually takes around 3-4 months for onions to mature, but this can vary depending on the variety and weather conditions. Some onions are ready to harvest in as little as 60 days, while others may take up to 120 days, so just keep an eye on them and harvest when the tops start to yellow and fall over.
