I am interested in growing a peach tree from seed. What are the correct steps, and how long does it usually take to grow?

To plant a peach seed, clean and dry the pit, then cold-stratify it in the refrigerator for 8–12 weeks. Plant it 2–3 inches deep in well-drained soil. Keep moist and place in sunlight. Germination may take several weeks, and fruiting takes a few years.

Clean a peach seed, refrigerate it in a damp paper towel for 2–3 months, then plant 1–2 inches deep in soil, keep it moist and sunny, and transplant outdoors when strong.

To grow a peach tree, remove the pit from a ripe Peach, clean and dry it, then cold-stratify the seed in a refrigerator for several weeks. After sprouting, plant it in well-drained soil with sunlight and water regularly until the seedling grows into a young tree. 🌱🌳

"I completely agree with planting from seed - it's such a fun process. Just a tip: make sure the pit (stone) is fresh and dry, and then soak it in water for 24 hours before planting. This will help it germinate faster. Good luck with your peach tree, and I'd love to see how it turns out!"
