What Is a Resurrection Plant and How Does It Survive Dry Conditions?

The biology of the resurrection plant is absolutely fascinating to me. I’ve seen videos of them "coming back to life" after being completely brown and curled up. If I buy a resurrection plant, how long can it actually stay in its dormant state? I’d love to hear from anyone who keeps one as a curiosity how often should you "wake it up" with water to keep it healthy?

A Resurrection Plant is a unique plant that can survive extreme dryness by curling up and appearing dead when it loses moisture. When water becomes available again, the plant quickly absorbs it and returns to its green, living state. This ability helps it survive in very dry environments.

The Resurrection Plant is known for its remarkable ability to tolerate long periods without water. During dry conditions, it dries out and goes dormant, but once it receives moisture, it revives and resumes normal growth. This adaptation allows it to survive harsh desert climates.
