We love sitting on our patio during the summer evenings, but the bugs are becoming unbearable. I’d prefer to use a biological solution rather than spraying chemicals everywhere. I’m looking for a list of what plants repel mosquitoes effectively when placed in pots around a seating area. Does citronella actually work in a garden setting, or should I look into things like lavender and peppermint instead?

Some of the best plants that naturally repel mosquitoes include:
Citronella (lemongrass), lavender, basil, mint, marigold, and tulsi (holy basil).
✔These plants work because of their strong scents and natural oils that mosquitoes dislike.
