How to winterize a garden?

I’m wondering how to winterize a garden properly before the cold months arrive. What steps should I take to protect plants, soil, and tools during winter?
Can someone share tips on the best way to winterize a garden for a healthy spring comeback? ❄️

Clean up dead plants, remove weeds, and add compost or mulch to protect soil. Cut back perennials, cover delicate plants, drain hoses, and store tools. Plant winter crops or cover crops if desired to keep soil healthy until spring.

Hey, I usually clean up dead plants, add mulch to protect the soil, and cover delicate plants; also don’t forget to store tools dry so everything’s ready for a smooth spring comeback

I normally remove dead plants, cover sensitive plants, and add mulch to protect the soil. I also remember to store equipment dry so that everything is prepared for a seamless springtime return.

"Hey guys, I totally agree with the mulching tips. Also, don't forget to bring in any potted plants that are sensitive to frost. If you have any tender perennials like fuchsias or impatiens, consider moving them to a protected area or a cold frame to keep them safe from harsh winter conditions."
