How to Set Up an Aquarium with Plants and Rocks?

I’m planning a new aquascape and want a very natural look. What is the best sequence to follow when building an aquarium with plants and rocks? I’m worried about the rocks shifting and crushing the plant roots or scratching the glass. If you’ve designed an aquarium with plants and rocks, which species of "low-tech" plants do you recommend that can easily anchor to the hardscape?

To set up an aquarium with plants and rocks, start with a clean Aquarium tank and add a layer of gravel or nutrient-rich substrate. Arrange natural rocks securely, then plant aquatic plants around them. Fill the tank slowly with water, install a filter and lighting, and allow the tank to cycle before adding fish.

For a planted Aquarium, place a suitable substrate at the bottom and position decorative rocks to create a natural layout. Add aquatic plants between the rocks, ensuring their roots are covered. After filling the tank with water, use proper filtration and lighting to support healthy plant growth and maintain water quality.
