How to Plant Lavender?

I want to plant lavender at home and need advice on soil type, sunlight, and watering requirements for successful growth.

Lavender should be planted in a location that receives plenty of sunlight and has soil that drains well because lavender doesn't like to be kept in wet conditions. Make a small hole, put the plant in, and make sure the roots are covered and the stem is still above the ground. Also, plants should be spaced properly for air circulation. After planting, water the lavender only a little and don't water too much. Lavender thrives in dry, slightly sandy soil, and it requires very little care.

To plant lavender, choose a sunny spot that gets at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight and has well-draining soil, as lavender doesn’t like wet roots. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant in at the same depth it was in the pot, and backfill with loose soil mixed with a little sand or gravel for drainage. Space plants about 2–3 feet apart to allow airflow. Water lightly after planting, then only when the soil is dry, since lavender prefers dry conditions. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage healthy growth.

Plant lavender in well-drained, sandy soil with full sunlight. Choose a sunny spot and space plants 12–18 inches apart. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, and cover with soil. Water lightly, avoiding overwatering to prevent root rot.
