How can I make my own organic potting soil at home, what ingredients are needed, and which mixes work best for vegetables, flowers, or houseplants?

Oh it’s actually super easy! I usually mix compost, coco peat (or peat moss), and a bit of perlite for drainage, more compost for veggies, lighter mix for flowers, and extra airy for houseplants and honestly, my plants have never been happier since I stopped buying store soil

To make organic potting soil, mix 1 part compost, 1 part coconut coir or peat moss, and 1 part aeration material like perlite or coarse sand. Add a small amount of worm castings for nutrients. Blend thoroughly until light and fluffy. Moisten slightly before use to create a fertile, well-draining growing medium.

To make organic potting soil mix garden soil, compost, and coco peat or leaf mold. Add sand or perlite for drainage and a little vermicompost for nutrients. Blend well, moisten lightly, and let it rest a few days before planting.
