How do you properly maintain an Alocasia plant indoors?

I recently started growing an Alocasia plant and want to care for it properly. What kind of sunlight and watering schedule does an Alocasia plant need? I’m also curious about the best soil for an Alocasia plant. Any advice for keeping an Alocasia plant healthy would be appreciated.

Indoor Alocasia needs bright, indirect light, warm temperatures, and high humidity. Water when the top soil dries, keeping soil moist but well-drained. Use rich, airy potting mix and a pot with drainage. Fertilize monthly in the growing season. Wipe leaves, watch for pests, and repot when roots outgrow the container for healthy growth.

To keep your Alocasia plant healthy indoors, it's essential to provide it with the right amount of sunlight and water. Alocasia plants prefer bright, indirect sunlight, so placing it near an east or west-facing window would be ideal. As for watering, make sure the soil is consistently moist but not waterlogged, aiming for a watering schedule of once a week. The best soil for an Alocasia plant is a well-draining potting mix, which will help prevent root rot. You can also add some organic matter like peat moss or coconut coir to retain moisture and provide nutrients, and fertilize it occasionally to promote healthy growth.
