How Do You Properly Care for Ficus Tree Plants?

I’ve heard that ficus tree plants can be a bit finicky when it comes to being moved around. I just brought one home and want to avoid the dreaded leaf drop. What are the golden rules for maintaining ficus tree plants indoors? I need advice on humidity levels and how to tell exactly when it’s time to water, as I don't want to over-saturate the roots or let it get bone dry.

Properly caring for a Ficus tree plant involves placing it in bright, indirect light, watering when the top inch of soil feels dry, maintaining warm temperatures, and ensuring well-draining soil. Regular pruning and occasional fertilizing also help keep the plant healthy.

Keep it in one stable spot with bright indirect light, ficus hates being moved, and water only when the top inch feels dry, I usually just poke the soil with my finger. Also try to keep humidity moderate, like not too dry, or it’ll start dropping leaves out of drama

"For me, the key to keeping a happy ficus tree is to make sure it's getting the right amount of light and water. I like to let the soil dry out a bit between waterings, and then give it a good soak. Also, don't forget to prune it regularly to keep it looking its best. Good luck with your little fig!"
