I’ve heard mixed opinions about whether peppers are fruits or vegetables. I’m a bit confused about how they are classified. Can someone explain the correct answer and why?

Botanically, peppers are fruits since they come from the flower and have seeds inside. They are considered vegetables when used in cooking since they have a savory flavor and are used in savory meals. Thus, peppers are scientifically termed as fruits but used as vegetables in the kitchen.

Botanically, peppers are fruits because they develop from flowers and contain seeds. In cooking, they’re treated as vegetables due to their savory flavor and culinary uses.
