I recently brought home a hydrangea plant for my garden, but now I'm concerned because I have a cat that loves to nibble on plants. Are hydrangeas poisonous to cats? If yes, what signs should I look for, and how harmful is it if my cat only gets a few bites? I just want to ensure the safety of my pet.

Yes. Hydrangea plants are poisonous to cats. They contain compounds that can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and stomach pain if ingested. If you think your cat has eaten any part of a hydrangea, contact a vet immediately.

Yes, hydrangeas are toxic to cats. Hydrangea contains cyanogenic glycosides that can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and depression if ingested. Severe cases may lead to breathing difficulties. If your cat eats any part of the plant, contact a veterinarian immediately for proper evaluation and treatment.
