Aspen trees are lovely yet expensive to maintain in home gardens. They are susceptible to pests, illnesses and their root systems are invasive and can root up as a sucker, which may destroy lawns or foundations. They are grown in cool climates with moist and well drained soil and full sun and tend to have shorter lifespan in the city.
