What plants grow well with tomatoes as companion plants?

I’ve heard that certain flowers and herbs can actually improve the flavor of vegetables or help keep pests away naturally. I'm currently setting up my raised beds and looking for advice on what to plant with tomatoes to maximize my garden's health. I’ve heard marigolds and basil are good options, but are there any specific plants I should absolutely avoid placing nearby?

Tomatoes grow well with basil, marigold, carrots, onions, garlic, parsley, and chives. These companion plants can repel pests, improve flavor, and enhance growth. For example, basil deters insects, marigolds repel nematodes, and onions or garlic protect against aphids, making them ideal partners in tomato gardens.

Plants that grow well with tomatoes include basil, carrots, onions, garlic, marigolds, and lettuce. These companions help repel pests, improve flavor, and support healthy growth by enhancing soil nutrients and reducing disease risks in the garden ecosystem.
