Hey guys, I’m trying to grow mushrooms in Minecraft but not sure if I’m doing it right. What’s the proper way to plant and grow them successfully?

In Minecraft, plant mushrooms by:
  • Placing them on low-light blocks (light level 12 or less), like dirt, grass, or podzol
  • Or planting them anywhere on mycelium or podzol regardless of light
  • You can also grow big mushrooms by using bone meal on a planted mushroom

I've had my fair share of mushroom growing in Minecraft, and it's actually pretty simple. To plant mushrooms, you just need to find a suitable area with the right conditions, which is usually a dark place with a block of dirt, grass, or podzol. Then, you just place the mushroom on the block and make sure it has enough space to grow, which is a 9x9 area around it with no other mushrooms. Also, keep in mind that mushrooms won't grow if the area is too lit up, so make sure to plant them in a dimly lit spot, and they should start growing in no time.

In Minecraft, mushrooms can be planted on blocks like dirt, grass, podzol, or mycelium in low light levels (light level 12 or lower). You simply place the mushroom on a suitable block, and it will grow naturally over time in dark areas.

To plant mushrooms in Minecraft, place them on low-light blocks (light level 12 or lower) or on blocks like podzol, mycelium, or nylium where they can grow even in brighter areas. I usually make a small dark room underground if I want to farm them easily, since they spread better there. You can also use bone meal on red or brown mushrooms to grow giant mushrooms if there’s enough space.
