What Are the Uses of Willow Tree?

I’ve been reading about different trees and got curious about the uses of willow tree. Apart from landscaping, are there medicinal or environmental benefits? I’d love to know how people traditionally or practically use willow trees.

Willow trees are used for shade and erosion control due to their strong roots. Their wood is used in furniture, baskets, and cricket bats. Willow bark contains salicin, a natural pain reliever, historically used in medicine. Willows also enhance landscapes near water.
