What are some flowers that start with O — common and rare ones?

I'm expanding my garden vocabulary and want to explore flowers that start with O. Orchid and Oxeye Daisy are the two I know, but there must be more. Which O flowers are beginner-friendly, and are there any that grow well in containers or window boxes?

Some common flowers that start with O are Orchid, Oleander, Oxeye Daisy, and Oriental Lily. If you want rarer ones, there’s Osteospermum (African Daisy), Oncidium Orchid, Olearia, and Ornithogalum, also called Star of Bethlehem. Orchids are probably the most recognizable. I’ve noticed they’re popular because they look elegant but come in so many different varieties.

"Hey guys, I'm loving this thread. For common ones, I'd suggest Oriental Lilies and Orchids - super easy to find and add a pop of elegance to any room. If you're looking for rarer ones, how about Odontoglossum or Oenothera? They're a bit harder to come by, but totally worth it for the unique look"

Some flowers that start with O include Orchid, Oleander, Oxalis, Ornamental Onion (Allium), and Osteospermum. Orchid is one of the most popular and elegant flowers, while Oleander is a hardy flowering shrub often found in warm climates. Rare or less common ones include Olearia and Oncidium orchids, which are known for their unique shapes and colors. These flowers vary widely in appearance and are found in gardens, wild landscapes, and tropical regions around the world.
