How to Plant Lotus Seeds?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on how to plant lotus seeds. I’m not sure about the best way to prepare the seeds, what kind of water or soil they need, or how to care for them while they grow. Any tips or step-by-step guidance would be really helpful!

Scarify the seed (lightly file or nick the hard shell), then place it in warm water and change the water daily until it sprouts. Once it has leaves, plant it in heavy clay soil under shallow water in a sunny container or pond.

To plant lotus seeds, lightly file the hard shell, soak them in warm water until they sprout, then place in clay soil under shallow water. Keep the container in sunlight and slowly raise the water level as plants grow well.

File the outer skin of the lotus seeds slightly. Soak the seeds in some warm water until they sprout. Plant the seeds in a pot with muddy soil and shallow water. The plants will need lots of sunlight; more water can be added later on.

To plant lotus seeds, you'll want to start by preparing the seeds themselves, which involves filing or scratching the seed coat to help it absorb water. Then, soak the seeds in warm water for a few days until they sprout, after which you can transfer them to a container filled with a mix of soil and sand in about 2-3 inches of water. It's best to use a large, shallow container as lotus plants can grow quite big, and make sure the water is warm and has plenty of sunlight. As they grow, you can gradually increase the depth of the water, but be sure to keep the soil moist and fertilize them regularly for optimal growth.

"I've had great luck with planting lotus seeds in a container filled with a mix of soil and peat moss. Make sure the container has a hole in the bottom for drainage, and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. It'll take some patience, but with the right conditions, those seeds should start to sprout within a few weeks."

I tried planting lotus seeds according to the instructions in this thread and had a good success rate I found that using a shallow container with a mix of aquatic plants soil and perlite worked best for me also make sure the container has proper drainage and keep the water level consistent with the soil level I also added a few drops of fertilizer to promote growth and was pleased with the results.
