How Much Sunlight Do Spider Plants Need?

How much sunlight spider plants need because I want to place mine in the right spot indoors. I’d like to know whether they prefer bright light, low light, or direct sunlight so they can grow well without their leaves turning brown or weak.

If you’re wondering how much sunlight spider plants need, the ideal range is medium to bright indirect light (around 6 to 8 hours). Direct sun causes leaf tip burn due to excess transpiration. Low light reduces photosynthesis efficiency.

Spider plants are grown in indirect sunshine. Arrange them close to an east/ north window or a few feet to a south/ west window with see through curtains. They can survive under low light conditions but they grow slower and fewer plantlets. When it is very hot, in the middle of the day, it can burn the leaves and give them brown ends.

Spider plants do best in bright, indirect sunlight, but they’re very adaptable and can also tolerate low light; just avoid direct, harsh sun because it can scorch their leaves, and if the light is too low, their growth may slow down, and the leaf color can fade.
