How can I grow a coriander plant at home easily?

I love using fresh herbs in my cooking, so I’m trying to learn how to grow coriander plant in a small kitchen windowsill setup. I’ve tried using store-bought seeds before, but they never seem to germinate correctly. Does anyone have a step-by-step guide on how to grow coriander plant from split seeds, and what kind of drainage is required to prevent the roots from rotting?

Honestly, coriander is super easy once you crack it, just gently split the seeds, soak them overnight, then sow in a pot with loose, well-draining soil and drainage holes, keep it moist not soggy and it’ll sprout in a week or so. I used to mess this up too until I stopped overwatering

I've had success growing coriander on my kitchen windowsill too, and I think the key is to use fresh seeds and make sure the soil drains well. You can try soaking the seeds in water for a day before planting to help them germinate. For drainage, I use a pot with holes in the bottom and a layer of small rocks or broken pottery to prevent the soil from getting waterlogged. As for the step-by-step guide, I'd recommend planting the seeds about a quarter inch deep and keeping the soil consistently moist but not too wet. You can also try using a well-draining potting mix to prevent root rot.

I've had success growing coriander in a small kitchen setup, and I think I can help you out. First, make sure you're using fresh seeds, as older ones can be less likely to germinate. Sow the split seeds about a quarter inch deep in a well-draining potting mix, and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. I've found that a mix with some perlite or sand helps with drainage, which is crucial to prevent root rot. Give your coriander plant plenty of sunlight, and keep it in a spot with good air circulation to prevent fungal diseases.

Plant coriander seeds in well-draining soil and sunlight. Water the plant moderately but not excessively, making sure that you avoid water logging. Ensure the pot is kept in a bright place. Thinning is done to ensure there is adequate space for the plant. Leaves can be harvested after three weeks. It should be ensured that the temperature remains cool, preventing the plant from flowering earlier than required.
